YOU CAN SWICH OFF THE ABS - despite it not being a normal function:

here's how.......
Step 1 - Put the bike on the center stand so the rear wheel can run free...
Step 2 - Start the ignition, pull the clutch in and put the bike into 2nd gear...
Step 3 – Rev the bike in gear, allowing the rear wheel to spin until the ABS light stops flashing.

Because the front wheel is not moving and the rear is, the computer goes into error -
This disables not only the ABS, but also the traction control as well

To Re-enable the ABS
Simply stop and turn off the ignition with the key. Restart the bike as per normal

So to all those people who complain and winge about never riding a DS bike in the dirt without being able to disable the ABS?????
